Highly recommended

An excellent upgrade to our bungalow loft insulation. Three men in loft over a day and a half removing 45 large bags of fibreglass and replacing with 300 ml of rock wool insulation.Very professional and clean working. Highly recommended.

Spot on

Very efficient about how the work was carried out; the original insulation removed a large area of boarded loft removed before overlaying the installation of the new insulation between joist. Finally ‘hoovered’ stairs and hallway. PS stairs were covered before commencement of work. Very pleased

We were very impressed

We had Tom in to quote for insulating my dad's loft and he was very down to earth and thorough, the quote arrived quickly, was very reasonable and we settled on a date around 3 weeks later.

The quality of Toms workmanship was very good, the roof space is exactly as he said it would be and everything was disposed of correctly and left clean and tidy as if no one had even been in. We even received a folder with all the details in it upon completion. I would not hesitate to recommend Tom to anyone and we were very impressed with the service we received.

Exceptional

Tom and his team were nothing but exceptional. From his initial visit to quote, he was insightful and helpful in laying out the various insulation and installation options. In the end we requested, the removal of insulation, new insulation installed, boarded loft space and a larger loft hatch. He arrived on time, installed in his said time estimate and left each of the two days he was here with an immaculate home. There was no mess, whatsoever. He prepped beforehand each day laying down protective materials on carpets etc. Would recommend and use again.

Our team of loft insulation fitters will take care of the entire process from start to finish.

1. Survey and quote

At a time that suits you, we'll call by to measure up, check moisture readings, take pictures and answer any questions you may have. You'll then get a detailed quote covering loft insulation installation, all materials, removal and disposal.

2. Removal and preparation

Time to prepare your loft for high-performance insulation. Our expert loft insulation contractors will remove all old insulation and thoroughly clean your space ready for installation.

3. Loft insulation fitting

We'll install the best 300mm mineral wool insulation in your loft, working efficiently, tidily and to the highest standards. Compared to fibreglass, mineral wool is longer lasting and more resistant to fire and moisture.

4. Insulation report

You'll receive a detailed customer pack including a breakdown of the work carried out, photos of the project, your final invoice and a complete EPC survey.

Top up or full replacement?

Not every loft needs stripping out, but not every loft can simply be topped up.

If your existing insulation is dry, clean and reasonably even, we can usually top it up to the recommended depth. If it is damp, dirty, compacted or mixed with old loose fill, we remove it, bag it, clear the loft and start again.

Mineral wool or sheep's wool?

We install 300mm of mineral wool as standard, and sheep's wool for homeowners who prefer a natural option.

Mineral wool is cost effective, non-combustible and the most common choice for UK lofts. Sheep's wool is breathable and pleasant to handle, which many owners of older and period homes prefer.

Make more of your loft

Want to use your loft as well as insulate it? We can add boarding, a loft ladder and lighting alongside your new insulation.

Raised loft boarding lifts the floor above the full depth of insulation, so you get storage space without squashing it. A loft ladder and a properly sized, insulated hatch make the space safe and easy to reach, and loft lighting means you can see what you have stored.

How deep should loft insulation be?

Mineral wool is the superior choice for high-performance insulation. It's resistant to fire and moisture, and even offers better soundproofing. Above all, it lasts much longer than fibreglass in terms of its effective lifespan.

Will my home be kept clean?

Yes! We take extra care to keep your home spotless. Lay carpet protection from your front door to the loft hatch. Bag up insulation within the loft to minimise mess. Use large vans for waste transport, so no unsightly skips on your driveway. Remove carpet protection and vacuum throughout before we leave.
